I am not a morning person naturally. I mean…I love mornings it’s quiet and peaceful but I don’t wake up productive. If I had my way I’d lay in bed and read until I got hungry enough to get up and then start my day. Of course that’s counter productive and I’m a busy girl who barely fits it all into her very packed schedule.

I need a quick morning routine that gets me through the weekdays relatively fast but still keeps my stress levels down. Because stress makes my autoimmune symptoms so much worse.

I try to stay healthy, so every morning I start the kettle and make my Licorice Root Tea then add my Collagen and Vitamin D and while it’s steeping I do my Oil pulling and brush my teeth. Then I relax, drink my tea and write or read and sip my tea for a good half hour.

Next up I do my morning facial. I absolutely love Paula’s choice, I bought it on a whim because the positive reviews were staggering and so I just had to see what it was all about. Now each morning I use her Cleanse, Toner, I Exfoliate and Moisturize. Sometimes I Spot treat when I have problem areas. The whole process takes about 10 minutes and I’m always blown away at how much better my face looks. I wear very little make up, so healthy skin is vital.

Next up, I lotion up or to be more specific I oil up.They say oils provide more moisture to your skin then lotions and while I’m not brave enough to put it on my face. I’m all about using it on my body. I wish I could tell you I had some fancy moisturizer but the truth is I just use Fractionated Coconut Oil. I like the way my skin feels and no crazy smell or chemicals I can’t pronounce going into my sometimes fragile body.

Now the oil does take a minute to soak in so while I’m waiting for it to dry I throw on my loose shorts and tshirt and jump on my Rebounder for around 15 minutes. I read about rebounding a long time ago and I enjoyed it so much I kept it up. My muscle tone is so much better because of it. Sometimes if the weather is nice I take a 15 min walk. I keep it low impact and if it can be fun bonus.

Then I typically do 3 reps of 8 on the dumbbells . I’m not toned but I am trim. I should point out I wasn’t always. I’m 5’1′ and at my highest weight I got up to 180. Which is considered obese. Even going gluten free didn’t make me lose weight. There are a lot of treats now for those of us with Celiac. Today I weigh 115 that was a 3 year process that I took very slowly with small changes in my life.

After the workout, I take my liquid vitamins. Now my body is sensitive and a lot of vitamins can upset my stomach but I’ve never had an issue with These vitamins. Everyone is different so they may not work for you but for me they give me energy and no unwanted reactions.

Then finally a quick breakfast, I usually throw my hair in a ponytail and get dressed and do a quick pick up of the house and then I head out to work.

I’m always curious how others structure their weekday mornings and would love to hear what you do?
